On Saturday, October 14, 2023 the sights in Bryce Canyon Country will be even more spectacular.

The annular solar eclipse will be visible with its amazing “ring of fire,” a glowing ring around the silhouette of the moon that’s caused by the moon covering the middle of the sun. The eclipse is scheduled to peak at 10:28 am and viewing time will vary depending on exactly where you are. There are plenty of places to see the eclipse in Bryce Canyon Country. Here is a map of where to see the eclipse and how long viewing time will last in each area.

Seeing The Eclipse

Seeing the Eclipse at Bryce Canyon National Park

Few areas can rival Bryce Canyon National Park to see this phenomenal eclipse, where it will perch above magnificent red rock hoodoos. The park will be offering special programs related to the eclipse. The park is sure to be a hot spot for eclipse viewing, visit the Bryce Canyon National Park page to learn more about what to expect the day of the eclipse. Be sure to stop by the visitor center bookstore to purchase a commemorative Bryce Canyon eclipse poster or eclipse viewing from our friends at the Bryce Canyon Association.  Purchases made from the Bryce Canyon Association help support important park programs and a sustainable future for the places in the park we all love so much.
