February

Bryce Canyon Winter Festival

Every year Ruby’s Inn & Bryce Canyon National Park host the Bryce Canyon Winter Festival during which families and adventurers embrace winter in all its glory. There’s cross-country skiing, a people-powered sled race, ice skating, sleigh rides, snowshoeing, and plenty of artful and adventurous activities ranging from painting classes to archery classes.

The extended schedule of events at the Ruby’s Inn Winter Festival offers something for everyone. Choose outdoor winter sports for active pastimes and thrills. Even if you’re a newbie, the tours provide safe learning. The festival’s eclectic entertainment embraces anything from crafting to puppet shows, and the famous Hot Air Balloon Glow.

Bryce Canyon Mule Days

Bryce Canyon Mule Days brings together mule lovers of all ages for a weekend full of riding, arena events, clinics, music, and more. This exciting event offers rides around Bryce Canyon National Park and the Escalante Grand Staircase National Monument. Ride among hoodoos and through slot canyons.

Bryce Canyon Ultra Marathons

The Bryce Canyon Ultra Marathons are for the avid runner with multiple race options of a 30K, 50K, 60K, 50-mile and a 100-mile race. Each of these races starts at the mouth of Proctor Canyon in Hatch, Utah. Each race has a pace minimum and cutoff times runners can use to train and make sure they are up to par with where they need to be for these advanced races. Learn more.

June

Bryce Canyon Astronomy Festival

There’s no place quite like Bryce Canyon by day, and no time like a new moon in June to enjoy it by night. The Bryce Canyon Astronomy Festival features family-friendly daytime activities and ranger-led evening programs and constellation tours.

Bryce Canyon Geology Festival

Join park rangers for guided hikes, family-friendly geology programs, evening programs as well as exhibits and family-oriented activities at the Visitor Center during the Bryce Canyon Geology Festival.

Panguitch Quilt Walk

The Panguitch Quilt Walk is a quilt festival held the 2nd week in June in Panguitch Utah. Enjoy quilt classes, a quilt show, charity garage sale, quilt trunk shows, quilt walk dinner theater, Lion’s Club pancake breakfast, a tractor parade and tractor pull, quilt walk races, vintage car show, heritage fair/pioneer village, Historical Main Street Walk, and a pioneer home tour.

Panguitch Valley Balloon Rally

Each year, during the last weekend in June, Panguitch, Utah hosts its annual Balloon Rally. It’s a delightful three-day weekend festival that starts each morning with a 6 am air balloon launch. Over 30 bright and colorful balloons welcome onlookers as they fill the open skies of Southern Utah. Throughout the day, vendors offer unique goods, food booths sell delicious meals and treat,s and a range of activities for children and adults are available. Evenings are filled with live music and entertainment.

Bryce Canyon Half Marathon and 5K

There is nothing quite like running through the scenic views of Bryce Canyon Country. With breathtaking vistas and rich red rock formations everywhere you turn, it’s the ideal location for marathons, half-marathons, 5K, and fun runs. Find your new favorite race here.

Panguitch Chicken Lights and Chrome Truck Show 

The Panguitch Chicken Lights and Chrome Truck Show is held the first weekend in July. Enjoy a light show, truck show, and vendors in beautiful Panguitch, Utah! Truck events are held throughout the day and the truck light show is held on Saturday evening.

Old Skool Panguitch Bike Rally

Bryce Canyon Color Me Fun Run

Located in Cannonville, Utah, the Bryce Canyon Color Me Fun Run is a mile-long race that starts at Cannonville’s Town Park. The race winds around the city until it brings participants back to the park for the finish.

Canyon 2 Canyon Bike Ride 

Please join Bryce Canyon City and the Bryce Canyon Natural History Association in the annual Canyon 2 Canyon Bike Ride. The Canyon 2 Canyon event is a Family Fun Bike ride. We are inviting the bikers to come and ride the trail and enjoy the beauty of the two canyons. Starting at Bryce Canyon’s Inspiration Point and ending in Red Canyon- 17 miles trail.

Moqui Motor Madness 

The Moqui Motor Madness car show is the perfect car show in one of the most scenic locations.  The night before the show, join the cars for a “cruise” down Main Street at 6 pm. The next day head over to the town park to check out all of the vehicles.

Bryce ATV Rally

Take a guided tour or grab a map and head out on your own. Either way, at the Bryce ATV Rally, you’ll experience scenery and trails as you’ve never seen before. Garfield County trails border Bryce Canyon National Park and is home to Casto Canyon, one of the top ten most scenic trails in the U.S. There will also be great deals from vendors and sponsors, food, entertainment, and more for the entire family to enjoy.

Escalante Canyons Art Festival/Everett Ruess Days

Celebrate the stunning public lands of Utah’s canyon country during the Escalante Canyons Art Festival. Hosted in Escalante, Utah, along Scenic Byway 12,  in the heart of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.  Plein air competitions, art exhibits, on-site and online sales, workshops, demonstrations, arts and crafts fair, live music, guided walks, and much more.

The Escalante Canyons Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K fun run are generally held on the second Saturday in October. Each race starts at a different location based on the race mileage, but all end at Escalante City Park.
