Panguitch Balloon Festival
Each year, during the last weekend in June, Panguitch, Utah hosts its annual Balloon Rally. It’s a delightful three-day weekend festival that starts each morning with a 6 a.m. air balloon launch. Over 30 bright and colorful balloons welcome onlookers as they fill the open skies of Southern Utah. Throughout the day, vendors offer unique goods, food booths sell delicious meals and treats and a range of activities for children and adults are available. Evenings are filled with live music and entertainment.
For the avid or recreational runner, the Balloon Rally 5K Race on Saturday morning of the festival creates picturesque views of balloons soaring above you while running through beautiful, historic Panguitch. Following the 5K, there is a children’s run so everyone can be part of the fun.
Saturday evening, you will find Panguitch’s Historic Main Street blocked off to cars, as it’s filled with anchored hot air balloons for the Balloon Glow. As dusk approaches, balloons light the street as live music fills the air. It’s the perfect opportunity to take photos and learn about the balloons from the pilots. Food booths, vendors and activities fill the streets around the balloons offering plenty to do and see.
Other activities include parades, inflatable rides for kids and craft booths. The Panguitch Balloon Rally is the perfect family-friendly adventure for all ages to enjoy.
