4th West Pub is the only bar on Scenic Highway 12, in the heart of the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.
4th West Pub is family owned and operated by Dave and Erin Treanor. They originally moved to Escalante in 2004 from Southern California, to work on a local cattle ranch. The moment they drove into town for their job interview, they knew immediately that Escalante was their new home and fell in love with the area and the local history.
In 2018 they decided to take the plunge and renovate 4th West’s building from what was originally a service station from the 1940s, to the only Pub in Escalante or along Scenic Highway 12. Bringing their love for local history and culture, with a little California influence thrown in, it was their goal to create a space where EVERYONE could feel at home. With their motto of “GOOD VIBES ONLY”, there is a space for everyone, local and traveler alike. A space where you can visit, play pool, catch up on local news, plan your next trip, read, or listen to music. Whether it’s for an ice-cold beer, a great cocktail, or even just a quick bite, all are welcome, that are 21 and over of course.
